Tally is not a normal girl. She lives in a "ugly" world. Literally! When she turns 16 she'll get a surgery that will change her life forever. She will be turned into a "pretty" and will get to live in a "pretty" world. When she visits her old guy friend that got turned into a "pretty", she finds that he's not as normal as he was before. It was like she didn't matter anymore. Then she meets a new girl that is running away from the destiny of becoming a "pretty". Will Tally choose to become a "pretty" and never see her friend again, or will she run away with her new best friend? I would recommend this book for children ages 11 and older. This book is 425 pages long and I would rate it a 5 out of 5.
